First, a little note: we’re bringing tiny back! This year we’re introducing our own turntable, the RSD3, and it is an adorable little thing. Of course, if you’ve got a 3” turntable, you need some 3” records, and we’ve got those two. A Foo Fighters 3” record, (ironically, it’s “Big Me”), and two blind box series from Epitaph Records and Third Man Records hit the shelves on April 13. As the official brewery of Record Store Day, Dogfish Head is bringing together independent beer and independent record stores through its reignited collaboration with longtime friends the Grateful Dead and the return of its fan-favorite pale ale American Beauty. Dogfish Head and the Grateful Dead are also turning up the volume with the creation of Sage and Spirit, a limited edition, 10-track vinyl album that will release on Record Store Day (Saturday, April 13). It’s that time again, folks. Once you’re over the expected, obligatory gorging, the excessive drink and the fighting about politics, and after you’ve had a night to sleep it all off, we would like to gently urge you to get down to your local indie record store to take advantage of all that Record Store Day has to offer for Black Friday.

And it’s nothing to scoff at. As of Friday, November 24th (that which is Black Friday), more than 1,200 local record stores in the US will offer some uniquely exciting titles, all of which have already been announced to-date on recordstoreday.com. Read more

Nelsonville Music Festival Celebrates Record Store Day With Giveaways At Record Stores All Around Ohio on Saturday, April 20

NELSONVILLE, Ohio- The 9th annual Nelsonville Music Festival will take place May 30-June 2, 2013 in Nelsonville, Ohio. The festival features for days of music headlined by Wilco, Cat Power, John Prine, and Gogol Bordello along with Mavis Staples, Sharon Van Etten, Calexico, Jonathan Richman, Tift Merritt, and over 40 more.
