MidPoint Music Festival fans…start your engines! Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. kicks off this year’s festival with a free concert at 6 p.m., Friday, September 25 in the new MidPoint Indie Craft Village in Washington Park.

Tickets for the fourteenth annual event, September 25–27, are on sale now at MPMF.com.

This showcase is free, thanks to P&G, who invites the whole community out to start the festival weekend with a happy-hour party in the heart of MidPoint’s latest addition.

MidPoint organizers announced today a second group of artists. Tickets for the fourteenth annual event, September 25–27, are on sale now at MPMF.com.

Full schedules, stages and more acts in the lineup will be announced in a few weeks.

Sam Beam is a singer-songwriter who has been creating music as Iron & Wine for more than a decade. Through the course of five albums, numerous EPs and singles, Iron & Wine has captured the emotion and imagination of listeners with distinctly cinematic songs. He will be performing with a full band for MidPoint, featuring songs from the entire back catalog and debuting new ones. Read more

Festival organizers recently announced a shift in operating days, moving from aThursday, Friday, Saturday format to running Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Read more

Artist Submission Now Open For The 2015 Midpoint Music Festival

Bands and artists now have the opportunity to apply for a showcase at this year’s MidPoint Point Music Festival. The festival, scheduled September 24–26, 2015, aims to continue a tradition of promoting new music discovery while celebrating music pioneers.

Artists need to submit an electronic press kit for showcase consideration. The submission process will be open Wednesday, February 18 through Sunday, May 17, 2015. Details can be found on MPMF.com. A press kit must have three original songs, along with essential information and a photo to help promote artists.

For years, MidPoint has been fortunate to discover talent from around the world through a partnership with the booking site Sonicbids. Despite the benefits Sonicbids offers, a change was needed for today’s festival industry. Read more
