Powerhouse soul septet St. Paul & The Broken Bones has announced a fall U.S. tour following their August/September European run. See a complete list of tour dates HERE. The momentum for the Birmingham, AL ensemble continues to build on the heels of their debut album Half The City (released February 18), which has sold over 40k copies to date. Their single “Call Me” is currently the iTunes Single of the Week, with over 100k downloads thus far. The track is just beginning to pick up speed by cracking the top 10 at AAA radio. MidPoint Music Festival is pleased to announce Chromeo will perform at this year’s event. Dave 1 and P-Thugg, the reigning lords of funk, will bring their brand of 80s-inspired pop and self-described Larry David funk to the headlining stage at Washington Park on Thursday, September 25.

In a grand homecoming, Cincinnati’s own The Afghan Whigs will perform at this fall’s MidPoint Music Festival. This will be the only Cincinnati appearance on their worldwide tour in support of Do To The Beast, the band’s first album of new material in 16 years.
The Afghan Whigs will headline the Washington Park stage on Friday, September 26. More artists and headlining acts will be revealed May 14. General admission tickets for this all-ages headline showcase will go on sale May 14.
MidPoint Music Festival is pleased to once again sponsor MidPoint Indie Summer. This free concert series on Fountain Square, in collaboration with 3CDC, presents regional, national, and international acts for a night of live music each Friday from May 30 to August 29.
As part of the larger PNC Summer Music Series, fans looking for summer fun are promised 14 weeks of perfect excuses to hit the town and enjoy a cool lineup of bands each Friday. You can make an evening of it by taking advantage of food and drink vendors right on the Square, or by visiting the many nearby Downtown restaurants.

Powerhouse Factories has been bridging the gap between the art and music scene since they began designing and screen printing gig posters for musicians ten years ago. This fall, Powerhouse continued that tradition through collaborations with the 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati, Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center (CAC), MidPoint Music Festival (MPMF), SpringBoard and ArtWorks. The Greater Cincinnati-based print shop and brand-building agency’s presence kicked off with Flooded, a gig poster exhibit hosted at the 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati, beginning September 20. The collaboration continued through September 26-28 with Powerhouse’s presence at the Poster Expo and the Powerhouse Print Lab at the SpringBoard Box Truck Carnival, both at MPMF. Read more
