One of the most anticipated conccerts of the summer revolved around a group of H.O.R.D.E. festival veterans known collectively as the Last Summer On Earth Tour 2012. It played the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering, Ohio on July 8, and lived up to the expectations surrounding it. First up on the bill was California’s Cracker, and lead singer David Lowery, along with guitarist Johnny Hickman, led the sold out venue’s patrons in a mass sing a long on the songs, “Euro-Trash Girl” and 1993’s classic anthem, “Low.” Read more

Big Head Todd & The Monsters Tour with Barenaked Ladies, Blues Traveler and Cracker this Summer – Fraze Pavilion on July 8

Big Head Todd & The Monsters travels this summer with the Barenaked Ladies’ “Last Summer on Earth” tour, also featuring Blues Traveler and Cracker. Launching July 6th at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre in Toledo, OH, the much-anticipated tour hits more than 30 arenas and amphitheaters across the country (full itinerary below).

But first, Big Head Todd & The Monsters continue with their winter/spring club tour; their first in over three years. For select stops along the tour, the band has been performing their breakout album, Midnight Radio, live in its entirety. Also on the itinerary: FestEVOL ski mountain stops in Colorado, Vermont and New Hampshire with Guster and others. And as always, it wouldn’t be summer without BHTM’s annual hometown Red Rocks Amphitheatre, this year on June 9th!

BOSTON, MA – There’s no denying anyone who digs the Blues will really dig the once-in-a-lifetime experience that is BLUES AT THE CROSSROADS: THE ROBERT JOHNSON CENTENNIAL CONCERTS. The very special tour (set to launch in San Francisco on Jan. 28, 2011) and accompanying studio recording (to be released early 2011) commemorates the 100th Anniversary of legendary bluesman Robert Johnson’s birth with exhilarating collaborations between Big Head Todd & The Monsters, living Bluesman legend David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Hubert Sumlin, and Cedric Burnside & Lightnin’ Malcolm. With Edwards on board, BLUES AT THE CROSSROADS has a direct connection back to the legend, as Edwards was in attendance for Johnson’s last live performance the night Johnson passed away. Read more
