Root Cellar Xtract (RCx) announces the release of their first full length album “Rear View Mirror Eyes”. They will kick things off with a record release show on May 20th 2017 at Arnolds downtown Cincinnati starting at 9PM.
Root Cellar Xtract (RCx) came to be in early 2016. The band is a composite of local stand out musicians for the “roots”space. With multiple CCM grads and two former winners of the former 97x/WOXY Local Band contest plus multiple CEA nominations, RCx represents the tightly woven musical fabric of Cincinnati at its most musical point. Luke Pruitt‘s second studio album, ‘Songs of Home, Pt. 2’ is out now. This is the follow up to his compelling debut ‘Songs of Home, Pt. 1.,’ a look at life through the prism of Pruitt’s hometown of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
“I wanted to write a record that told a complete story,” Pruitt says of his second studio album, recorded over four days at The Sound Emporium in Nashville, TN with Producer Calvin Turner (Marc Broussard). Read more

On Friday July 10th Arnold’s is teaming up with Bell’s Brewing and Cincygroove.com to bring 5 straight days of rare beers and some of the best bands that Cincinnati has to offer. Arnold’s will have a total of 12 bands spread out over the five days with headlining gigs from Jake Speed and The Freddies, Briar Rabbit (Detroit), The Sundresses and The Cincy Brass.
Top Brass and Brewers from Bell’s Brewing will be in house Friday through Sunday with at least 12 beers on tap all weekend. Beyond all the beers on tap they will also be handing out free swag and tapping a special rare brew once per day.
On December 6th at 9pm, join Arnold’s Bar and Grill (210 E 8th St, Cincinnati, OH) to celebrate The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs induction into the National Jug Band Hall of Fame and CD Release party. The Pigs will be presented with the award at the show that as doubling as a CD release party for their newest album. The Pigs have supported Christian Moerlein since the rebirth of the Brewery in the Early eighties. To show their appreciation, Moerlein has agreed to release one 1/6 barrel of their Bay of Bengal Double IPA a few days before the official launch to preview at the party. To commemorate the event, local artist, James Billiter will be releasing a signed and numbered, limited edition, hand pulled screenprint that will be available for purchase at the show. The Dancing Pigs have been playing for multiple generations of fans once a month for over 30 years at Arnold’s. They are a uniquely Cincinnati treasure and we are honored to help them celebrate this momentous occasion. Read more
