Wilder formed in 2015; releasing their debut EP, playing a lot of shows and landing themselves a nomination for Best Americana Act by The Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. Since then the band’s sound has evolved with more leanings toward 70s style rock and roll but stays true to Americana with some definite country twang spattered throughout their songs. A fixture of the Austin, Texas, music scene for years, Watson recorded all but one song on CALL ME LUCKY in Memphis at historic Sam Phillips Recording. The album features some of Memphis’ finest as well as Dale’s longtime band, His Lone Stars, and includes a horn section on some of the tracks.
