North Carolina’s acclaimed indie-Americana darlings Mipso head back on the road this winter for an extensive tour. Kicking off on January 31st in Palmer, Alaska, Mipso visit over 25 cities across the country – from Anchorage, AK to Austin, TX – before wrapping up in Birmingham, AL on March 31st. Joining Mipso on tour for select dates this winter are The Brother Brothers (East Coast) and River Whyless (Texas, Louisiana, Alabama). Additionally, Mipso join as special guest support for I’m With Her on their Southeast and Midwest dates. See the complete list of Mipso’s winter tour dates below. Tickets available at www.mipsomusic.com.
The end of 2018 saw Mipso celebrating the 5th anniversary of their 2013 debut release, Dark Holler Pop, hosting a run of shows in their home region of North Carolina and Virginia, and re-releasing the album on vinyl, available here. In conjunction with the 5th anniversary, Mipso announced a new single, “Get Out While You Can,” — a newly recorded and re-arranged version of “Get Out,” which appears on the 2013 release. The band then made their way across the Atlantic for their first European tour, with dates in Sweden and Norway, filming a playful cover of Swedish pop-star Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend.”
Additionally, Mipso recently unveiled their live audio and video EP called D.C. Sessions. Recorded and filmed at Hamilton Live in Washington D.C. this past spring, D.C. Sessions offers stripped down, acoustic renditions of three songs from Edges Run, their critically acclaimed 4th album. The videos were exclusively released to Mipso’s Spotify fans via a video Unlock campaign, where Mipso has over 2.4 million monthly listeners, with “People Change” receiving over 26 million streams since its release. Watch/embed the D.C. Sessions videos here, and listen to the session on Spotify here.
