Driftwood, the genre-bending Americana/folk-rock band based in Binghamton, NY, have released Driftwood LIVE at The Purple Fiddle exclusively on Bandcamp. Recorded during the summer of 2018, the live album is filled with fan favorites and displays their electrifying live performance skills, blending the ghost of traditional American folk music with a modern rock-n-roll energy, creating something that is uniquely their own. This live album adds to anticipation for the upcoming new studio release, Tree of Shade, due out in early 2019.

Formed by childhood friends Dan Forsyth (guitar) and Joe Kollar (banjo/guitar), Driftwood released their first album, Rally Day, as a duo before gradually expanding to their current five-piece line-up, including violinist Claire Byrne, who shares songwriting duties and lead vocals with Forsyth and Kollar, upright bassist / background vocalist Joey Acuri and the newest member, drummer Will Sigel. The band have averaged 150 shows per year in support of their previous albums (the aforementioned Rally Day, Driftwood, Live at GrassRoots, City Lights) and performed alongside Bela Fleck, Old Crow Medicine Show, Rusted Root, Del McCoury, Brett Dennen, The Wailers, Railroad Earth, Robert Randolph, Rubblebucket, Leon Russell, Emmylou Harris and Donna the Buffalo, just to name a few.

Driftwood have several performances left in 2018, as well as upcoming appearances at Winter Wondergrass and Merlefest in 2019. Tour dates below, more TBA.
