In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of Cincy Groove; on December 9, 2017 they will be taking over the Sanctuary stage at The Southgate House Revival with 5 of your favorite bands.

Cincy Groove was established in November 2007 in order to showcase the concert photography of owner, Scott Preston. Since then CincyGroove.com has evolved into a one stop shop in Cincinnati for concert photos and music news involving many different talented photographers and writers.

The lineup for the Cincy Groove Music Festival includes some incredible music from some of your favorite folk/americana bands. Jeremy Francis, Hickory Robot, The Tillers, Buffalo Wabs and The Price Hill Hustle and Chicago Farmer will all be gracing the stage in the Sanctuary.  Host for the evening will be Ken Hanes.

Jeremy FrancisJeremy Francis is a 20 year veteran of the Cincinnati, OH music scene.  He has spent most of his career as a solo artist but has performed in bands such as Heathens Halo, Crow Shot, Blue Caboose, Bibs and Barefeet and most recently Atlas River.

Hickory RobotHickory Robot is an acoustic quartet from Cincinnati, Ohio.  Their sound is a compelling blend of traditional bluegrass instrumentation, mixed with jazz, Celtic, and rock elements that create a truly unique and engaging music.  The band formed in 2008 and quickly gained a following for its “stellar songwriting” and “impeccable musicianship” (Citybeat Magazine).  Their first album, Firefly, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim and Sawyer followed in 2012, garnering even greater accolades, extensive radio airplay, and an Album of the Year nomination from the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards.

The TillersThe Tillers have since won over Cincinnati’s bar and festival scene, and launching tours with tireless momentum. They were awarded CityBeat Magazine’s Cincinnati Entertainment Award for best Folk and Americana act in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 & 2015. Their relentless gigging has taken them throughout the East coast, the Midwest and West, the Appalachian south and to the UK and Ireland opening for the St.Louis crooner, Pokey LaFarge. In the summer of 2009, veteran NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw featured the Tillers on a documentary about US Route 50. Brokaw showcased the group’s song “There is Road (Route 50)” as a testimony to the highway’s role as a connective tissue of the nation.

Buffalo Wabs and The Price Hill Hustle – It’s hard to stay still around these boys. They’ve got that toe-tapping, knee-slapping, boot-stomping kind of sound. They get you moving and shaking. Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle—part rowdy honkytonk, part old-time pioneers—equates to a sound that sticks with your soul and leaves you singing barefoot into the star sky.  2016 CEA (Cincinnati Entertainment Award) win for Best Folk/American Band (in addition to a nomination for Best Live Act)

Chicago FarmerLyrically driven, Chicago Farmer delves into the social and political issues of today’s world, taking it all in and putting it back out through music as a commentary on modern times in the Midwest. With his unfeigned and relatable approach, Chicago Farmer has earned a place in the heart of this generation’s rise of protest songs. He composes music written and sung by and for the working man, the “regular person”, bringing to mind modern day folk tales.
