We’re happy to announce the The Railsplitters’ spring tour dates. This upcoming jaunt will see the Boudler, CO-based unconventional bluegrass quintet through markets in the Midwest and Southeast sharing stages with artist compadres such as, Trout Steak Revival, David Mayfield, and The Meanwells.
The Railsplitters’ most recent accolades were issued this week by ELMORE MAGAZINE, as they premiered the band’s brand new music video for their song, “Everyone She Meets” (SEE LINK ABOVE). Says the mag, “The track shows off the band’s skilled interplay, with each member getting their chance to shine.”
This will be the second tour for The Railsplitters in support of their most recent album, The Faster It Goes, released last year. The record landed the group a first place spot in Rockgrass’ Best New Band Competition. The album “testifies to The Railsplitters’ multipolar and collaborative songwriting, giving voice to the impressive talents of its members and a cohesive character to the sound.” – Mindie Lind, Hearth Music.

The Railsplitters boast 2 secret weapons: the innovative imagination of banjo player Dusty Rider’s songwriting, who writes with the full band in mind, imagining entire songs in his head before they’re even heard it out loud; and singer/guitarist Lauren Stovall’s distinctive and powerful voice– clean as Emmylou, as cutting as Allison Krauss, and even, at times, carrying the attitude of Dolly Parton.
Joe D’Esposito invokes New England-influenced fiddling which adds new color to the band’s sound, and masterfully executed mandolin and banjo by Rider and Peter Sharpe are well supported by upright bassist Leslie Ziegler’s innovative style.
