Save Our Strays (www.soscinci.org) was organized in 1998 to help reduce the number of stray cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati through non-lethal methods. We are a non-profit, 501c(3) organization. We do not have a shelter, but, rather, foster animals in the homes of volunteers. Our goals are to help humanely control the local stray population by using the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) method for feral cats and adoption for cats and dogs when possible.
Cats & dogs go into heat at a young age and reproduce up to 3 times a year. 1 cat & her offspring can produce up to 420,000 kittens in 7 years. 1 dog & her offspring can produce up to 67,000 puppies in 6 years. Over 34,000 pets are euthanized in Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky shelters *every year.* Millions are euthanized nationally. Please sterilize your pets and all strays.
