Grateful Dead sound engineer Dan Healy joining DSO for rest of tour

Grateful Dead sound engineer Dan Healy will be joining Dark Star Orchestra to mix the band’s sound beginning Friday, February 16 at DSO’s House of Blues Cleveland performance through the final tour stop in Langerado. Dan Healy mixed the Grateful Dead from 1968 through 1994 and has done sound for DSO on previous occasions, notably in October 2007 when Bob Weir joined DSO for a few sets.

Veteran DSO sound engineer Cameron Blietz needs to leave the road to heal chronic back pain, but will return to the mixing board for future tours. DSO supporters and Deadheads are encouraged to leave ‘well-wishes’ for Cameron’s rapid return to full health by leaving a comment for him at DSO’s MySpace page
