Ohiolina Music Festival, a celebration of music and culture from Ohio to North Carolina, today announced its 2015 line-up, featuring some of the region’s most beloved musicians and culinary talent. The festival will include 11 performances held on an 85-acre Mount Vernon family farm on September 19.

The 2015 musical line-up will feature Grammy-nominated Americana band Yarn and Nashville-based bluegrass band The Howlin’ Brothers. Yarn has seen their album reach #14 on the AMA chart and has been featured on CNN, CMT and in Rolling Stone. String and bluegrass-based The Howlin’ Brothers’ most recent album was listed by Rolling Stone as one of “26 Albums of 2014 You Probably Didn’t (But Really Should) Hear.”

The full line-up for the festival includes a masterful combination of folk, rock and bluegrass—Ohiolina 2015 will also feature the Shelf Life String Band, the Twin City Buskers, Greg Dutton, Ted Rice, The Salty Caramels, Buffalo Wabs & the Price Hill Hustle, Eric Sommer, The Shonk Brothers and The Wayfarers.

“We love making this type of live music available to the community—this will be our festival’s third year and we are proud to provide a family-friendly way to enjoy folk, bluegrass and Americana music,” said founder Chris Koenig. “We hope everyone will come out again to enjoy the great food, local brews, and excellent musical acts.”

The festival is a celebration of the culture of the region described as the I-77 corridor, an area of Appalachia stretching from Ohio to North Carolina. Attendees can expect regional fare from local food trucks including Por’ketta and Moe’s Original BBQ. The event is geared toward music enthusiasts of all ages— patrons can expect plenty of lawn spots for a picnic blanket and great view of the stage, as the venue is an intimate natural amphitheater surrounded by 85 acres of farmland.

Ohiolina is made possible in part by the support of the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County. Doors open at 11 a.m. on September 19, with music from noon–11 p.m. All ages are welcome. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket goes back to the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County, to support arts education.
