About the inspiration behind the “I Want That,” video the band explains, “We wanted to make a music video that really represented who we are as a band and people, and I think we did a damn good job!”

Comprised of Brooke (guitar, lead vocals) and Brit Graeff (cello, backup vocals) and pulling influences from a range of artists including The Pixies, Tegan and Sara and Andrew Bird, Good Graeff have quickly gained a following for their unique blend of genres. The band started as an impromptu performance by the two in a Hanoi, Vietnam living room, where they were living together teaching English and conducting motorcycle tours through the countryside. Initially joining musical forces to compete (and win) their high school “Battle of The Bands” competition – Brooke, a former foley artist and sound editor, and Brit – a classically-trained cellist, parted ways for 6 years to explore other passions before reconnecting over their shared joy of creating music in Vietnam.

Since returning to the States, the pop/classically-influenced duo has become a mainstay on the festival circuit with performances including SXSW, Summer Camp, Savannah Stopover, Gasparilla and Coral Skies. They have also been busy sharing the stage with bands including St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Shakey Graves and the Plain White T’s, and will be hitting the road with Mates of State for a June/July tour this summer.
