Cincinnati, OH – Far-I-Rome Productions is pleased to bring you Cause We Celebrate, an annual concert and art show created to raise funds for a local charity. This year’s event benefits the Neurosurgery Fitzpatrick Chiari Fund (NFCF). NFCF is a research foundation benefiting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center whose mission is to further understand the condition known as Chiari malformation, create community awareness and lend support to families affected by this disorder. Cause We Celebrate will be held August 27th, 2011 at The Leaping Lizard Lounge in Covington, KY. This a 21 and up events, with a $10 admission fee, all proceeds benefit NFCF.
Chiari – (kee-AHR-ee) – A Chiari malformation is a condition in which brain tissue protrudes into your spinal canal. Children may be born with this malformation or can develop it later in childhood.This malformation has been linked to symptoms like trouble breathing, chronic headaches, balance issues and spinal curvature, to name a few.
Guests can enter the silent auction to win prizes donated by local organizations like the Cincinnati Reds and Riverbend Music Center. In addition local artists Olivia Hinds and Geri Shields will have their work on display and for sale at the event. The performance lineup features a varied mix of rock, americana, pop and experimental acts, with performances by State Song, The Sundresses, The Guitars, Hours Before Morning (Columbus, Ohio ), The Sweep, Lackluster (Columbus, Ohio), The Instruction (Lexington, Kentucky) and Playfully Yours.
