Amos Lee inaugurates the New Year with a 29-city headline U.S. tour, starting February 15 in Eugene, Oregon.  The dates with him and the band will include an evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles (February 21), just announced shows in Florida and up the Eastern seaboard before concluding with a performance at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York  (April 19). It comes on the heels of Lee’s extensive fall 2013 outing, which included sold-out shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Ticket information can be found at www.amoslee.com/tour. Lee will donate $1 from each ticket sold to Musicians On Call (www.musiciansoncall.org/amos), a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

The Philadelphia native is touring in support of Mountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song (Blue Note Records), the follow-up to 2011’s chart-topping Mission Bell which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Rock Albums charts and contained the No. 1 Triple A radio hit “Windows Are Rolled Down.”

The New York Times hailed Mountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song as a “serenely sure-footed effort from Amos Lee, a singer-songwriter who rarely delivers anything else” and Elmore observed, “‘Mountains of Sorrow’ may be Lee’s finest yet.”Entertainment Weekly praised his “strikingly soulful voice” while Paste noted, “Lee makes sorrow shimmer…Like Jackson Browne for another generation, Lee understands the staining traces of love.” The album was produced by Jay Joyce (Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, Cage the Elephant) and features guest vocals by Alison Krauss and Patty Griffin.

Lee performed “The Man Who Wants You”, the first single from Mountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song, on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and the latest single,“Chill In The Air”  on Late Show with David Letterman. Fans can see Lee performing“Johnson Blvd” on “CBS This Morning,” listen to a “World Cafe” NPR session and check out stripped-down versions of several tracks from the new album in his Yahoo! Music’s Ram Country session. For a behind-the-scenes look at the making ofMountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song, visit here.
