The Milk Carton Kids are Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan. While the most obvious musical reference is the classic folk revival sound of twin acoustic guitars and matching harmonies, the band both expands and contradicts that rich legacy with highly inventive guitar lines and their intricately interwoven vocals. After forming in 2011, the duo quickly built a devoted following with the simple purity of their music and their celebrated deadpan stage humor. The renowned Los Angeles duo performed September 29th in “Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating The Music Of ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.”’ The concert, a benefit organized by The Coen Brothers and T-Bone Burnett, will take place at New York City’s Town Hall and feature music inspired by the Coen Brothers’ new film “Inside Llewyn Davis”, set in the 1960’s Greenwich Village folk music scene. Also performing are The Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, Patti Smith, Gillian Welch, Jack White and more. The show is already sold out. Then, the duo will be making its third appearance as musical guest on Garrison Keillor’s widely popular radio show “A Prairie Home Companion” on October 26th in Memphis, TN.

Sean Rowe is an absolutely riveting live performer who has been converting audiences across the globe with his offbeat charisma and otherworldly voice. He will be performing in support of his extraordinary latest release The Salesman and The Shark out now on Anti. On his latest release, Rowe follows up his critically heralded debut Magic with a work that brilliantly reconfigures classic sounds with ambitious arrangements – check out how the thundering churn of “Horses” neatly channels Desire-era Dylan – and beautiful songwriting – the duet “Old Shoes” finds Rowe harmonizing with Inara George over an almost unbearably lovely melody. The Salesman and the Shark, is a creative tour de force showcasing Rowe’s gifted writing and astonishing, soul-rattling voice. Sean Rowe has a baritone of other worldly power and emotional conviction that demands attention.
