Dylan Sneed, Greg Mahan Play Northside Tavern February 24

Cincinnati, OH — Feb 24, 2010 — In August 2008, Dylan Sneed packed some essentials in his Toyota 4-Runner, filled up the gas tank, and took off for his latest tour. Only this time, he didn’t return to his home state of Texas.

The former Dallas singer-songwriter moved across the country to Hartsville, South Carolina, where he set up a new home base and continues to tour. He called his move/tour Texodus. Since then Sneed has toured vigorously across the country, with little break in between each trip.

Wednesday, February 24, Dylan will perform along with Cincinnati songwriter Greg Mahan at The Northside Tavern, located at 4163 Hamilton Avenue. Music starts at 10:00 p.m. There is no cover.

The Dallas Observer described Sneed’s music as “the best side of true Americana: music of passion and skill that can move an audience with a whisper or a roar.” Kevin Oliver of the SC Free Times refers to Sneed as “a sober Townes Van Zandt,” and said “Sneed’s songs give a contemporary spin to the Lone Star country and folk of Guy Clark, Steve Earle and others, coming out more like the acerbically literate North Carolina songwriters Jonathan Byrd or Malcolm Holcombe.”
