New York, NY (February 28, 2013)—The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) today announced that the world premiere of Mistaken for Strangers, executive produced by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Marshall Curry and produced by Matt Berninger, Carin Besser and Craig Charland, will open the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by American Express. Director Tom Berninger chronicles his experience on tour with his brother, The National’s frontman Matt Berninger, in this funny and affecting film, which will also play during the Festival’s 12th edition. The premiere, taking place on Wednesday, April 17, will be followed by a special performance by The National. The Festival will run through April 28. Read more

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s March line-up features returning favorites Josefowicz, Bronfman, Watts
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra presents its March concert line-up, packed with star power and some of the most passionate music in the orchestral repertoire. Highlights include the returns of guest artists Leila Josefowicz (LEE-la Jo-SEF-o-witz), performing Thomas Adès novel Violin Concerto, pianist Yefim Bronfman (YEH-fim BRAHNF-man), who demonstrates his admirable talents with Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto, and André Watts, who performs perhaps the most popular piano concerto ever written, Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto. Conductors Juanjo Mena (WAHN-ho MAY-nuh) and Mei-Ann Chen (MAY-Ann CHEN), both of whom won over musicians, audiences and critics alike during their debuts last season, also make their triumphant returns, while CSO Associate Conductor Robert Treviño makes his subscription debut on the Music Hall podium. Composer Jennifer Higdon, this season’s Boundless Series Creative Director, will be engaging in various residency activities the week of the CSO’s performance of her dynamic work, Concerto for Orchestra. Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction will be the Museum’s first ever major exhibition capturing the band’s legendary career spanning more than 50 years. It will include personal items and extraordinary collections that have never been seen before by the public. The exhibit will be open till March 2014.

Fresh from her successful debut at the 2013 Folk Alliance International Conference in Toronto, Carole Walker Music is pleased to announce her next major stage performance will be at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. In its 27th year, SXSW is known as “the biggest and most anticipated convergence of all things music.” A GoGirls Music Elite Member for the last two years, Walker started the Cincinnati-Columbus chapter of GoGirls – an online networking platform to connect, support and encourage female singer songwriters.

Over 40 celebrated bands and musical artists hit the stages July 18-21 at the Legend Valley Concert Venue & Campground – located 30 minutes east of Columbus – in Thornville, OH.
