CINCINNATI, OH – July 31, 2012: The Cincy Blues Society is celebrating 20 years of bringing the best blues to Cincinnati in the summer, but some of the performers are barely older than the Fest itself.
On Friday, August 10, the Cincy Blues Fest is featuring six up-and-coming young blues acts on its “Blues: The Next Generation Stage” under the Arches of the Purple People Bridge at Sawyer Point.
- Opening the stage is the Wade Baker Trio. Primarily known around town for his jazz trumpet skills, Wade brings his blazing guitar to the forefront of this blues trio.
- Jellico Motel, a band borne out of the Cincy Blues Society’s Blues in the Schools program, features the vocals of Ms. Rio Van.
- Indiana bluesman Brian Keith Wallen, who represented the Cincy Blues Society at the 2012 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, will be appearing with his new 3-piece band. Read more
