(Cincinnati, OH) The Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation will make history with another installment from the King Records chronicles by hosting a star studded celebration marking the 5th Anniversary of James Brown’s homecoming at the former Herzog Studios on Friday, December 30th, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.

Dayton , OH – December 23, 2011 – Following an impressive 2011 that saw the band crisscross the country numerous times, Ohio’s rising stars, The Werks, have launched plans for next year. To celebrate the entrance of 2012, The Werks have joined forces with Papadosio for the largest live concert event in Ohio over NYE weekend with nights at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, OH with numerous special guests.
Highlights for the first part of the next year include going into the studio to record their third studio CD, collaborating with Perpetual Groove for a Colorado ski tour  in February as well as festival appearances beginning as early as March and April. Read more

Switchblade Syndicate is pleased to announce the release of their debut album, “As Long As There’s Whiskey” at Mainstay Rock Bar (Cincinnati, Ohio) on Friday December 30th, 2011.  Local favorites, Mad Anthony, will be rounding out the bill.

The album was engineered by Mike Montgomery at Candyland Studios in Avondale.  This first offering is 13 songs that reflect the band’s unique style.  Aside from Switchblade’s Members; Veronica Grim (vocals, guitar), Paul Burgio (lead guitar), John Campbell (bass) and Dave Johnson (drums) there are two guests; James Bondage of the Reanimated and Kelly Thomas of Kelly Thomas & The Fabulous Pickups/The Tammy WhyNots adding harmonies on 2 tracks.
