Yonder Mountain String Band Announce NYE 2011 & Cabin Fever Tour 2012 – March 2 at The Madison Theater

From December 27 – 31, 2011, Colorado-based Yonder Mountain String Band will headline The Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO. Special guests will include Futureman (of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), Darol Anger (fiddle), Andy Hall (pedal steel, The Infamous Stringdusters), and Rushad Eggleston (cello). YMSB will kick-off the New Year with the Cabin Fever Tour heading to Southern and Midwest markets in February and March 2012. The band is currently touring in support of their latest studio album, The Show, and will showcase newly written material that’ll be featured on their forthcoming full-length album due out in 2012. One of the most original and energetic acts around today, Ohio-based national touring band ekoostik hookah is the nucleus of a family drawn to its lucid, improvisational treatment of psychedelic rock ’n’ roll, blues, funk, jazz and bluegrass layered with rich harmonies. Cincy Winter Beerfest to host Launch Party Happy Hour at Rock Bottom Brewery on 11/30

Cincinnati, OH – The Cincy Winter Beerfest never disappoints and always proves to be a sell-out crowd of thousands from the Greater Cincinnati area coming to The Duke Energy Convention Center for a taste of the best beer around. The 5th Cincy Winter Beerfest is expected to continue the trend of sellout crowd for 2012 and expected to become one of the Top Ten largest craft beer festivals in the country. Tickets for the 2012 Cincy Winter Beerfest will go on sale, starting on Thursday, December 1, 2011 and all those purchasing general admission tickets will receive VIP tickets for the same price until December 25th! Several different events will lead up to the big weekend in February. The first is the “Ticket Sales Launch Party,” hosted at Rock Bottom Brewery on Wednesday, November 30th. Save Our Strays joins 500 Miles To Memphis on 12/10 at The Southgate House

Save Our Strays will be joining local rockabilly favorites, “500 Miles To Memphis,” on Saturday, December 10 from 9:30 p.m. until midnight. at The Historic Southgate House, 24 East 3rd Street, Newport KY 41071 (

We will be selling candy, hand-made beaded jewelry, hand-knit items (including crinkly cat-nip toys) and Save Our Strays “FREE LAP DANCES” music compilation CDs.  Prices start at just $1 and proceeds will go to local spay/neuter efforts.

Save Our Strays ( was organized in 1998 to help reduce the number of stray cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati through non-lethal methods.  We are a non-profit, 501c(3) organization.  We do not have a shelter, but, rather, foster animals in the homes of volunteers. Our goals are to help humanely control the local stray population by using the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) method for feral cats and adoption for cats and dogs when possible. Read more

Young The Giant Announce Additional 2012 Headline Tour Dates – Madison Theater on 2/24

NEW YORK, NY (November 29, 2011)Young The Giant today announced additional dates for their 2012 headline tour which begins in San Diego on February 10, 2012 and will go through mid-April.  The band has been taking the world by storm with their explosive live shows, gaining fans in every corner of the world and because of overwhelming demand in several markets, shows are moving to larger venues and in some instances second nights have been added. Southgate House in Newport, KY to Close on Dec 31

(Newport, KY) After more than thirty years in continuous operation as a music and arts venue under the ownership and operation of Ross Raleigh, the Southgate House will host its last show on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2011.

“While we are deeply saddened to close 24 E. Third Street, it’s been a great run and it’s been a great privilege to be the steward of such a grand building all these years,” Raleigh said.  “There have been many great memories made here, but the history is in the people and the music, not just the building, and the show must go on.” Raleigh hopes to relocate his business in 2012. All Good Festival Announces New Location & 2012 Dates

Thornville, OH (November 28, 2011) – After 9 consecutive years in West Virginia, the All Good Festival announces today that the 16th annual event will take place July 19-22, 2012 approximately 30 miles east of Columbus, Ohio at the historic Legend Valley.

Formerly known as Buckeye Lake Music Center, the sprawling festival grounds of Legend Valley have played host to some of the most memorable live performances of the past five decades including half a dozen Grateful Dead concerts as well as tour stops from Lollapalooza, AC/DC, WOMAD, The Allman Brothers Band, and numerous Hookahvilles.
