Forecastle Festival 2010 Initial Lineup Announced :: The Flaming Lips, Widespread Panic, Spoon

LOUISVILLE, KY – The Forecastle Festival and Nederlander Entertainment are pleased to announce the initial lineup for the 2010 Festival, as well as a venue change to Louisville’s Waterfront Park to accommodate larger crowds and additional festival activities.

The 9th annual Forecastle Festival will take place July 9th – 11th at Waterfront Park – just a few minutes walk from last year’s location at the Riverfront Belvedere – and feature experimental rock pioneers The Flaming Lips and perennial jam band favorites Widespread Panic, along with Spoon, The Drive-By Truckers, Bassnectar, Minus the Bear, The New Deal, Lucero, a reunion by Cap ‘n Jazz, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek), Dar Williams, EOTO, Break Science, Mimosa, Mucca Pazza, Company of Thieves, Savoy, BoomBox, Two Fresh, and Morning Teleportation. Marco Benevento has announced North American tour dates in support of his forthcoming new album, Between The Needles & Nightfall. The Brooklyn-based pianist leads his trio for the majority of a 29-night headline run that includes a handful of April appearances surrounding the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and May dates on the East Coast and Midwest that are capped off by a hometown show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. Rock On The Range Daily Line-Ups Announced; Single Day Tickets On Sale Wednesday, March 31

With a power-packed line-up led by Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie, Slash and Three Days Grace, organizers for ROCK ON THE RANGE have announced the daily line-up for America’s premiere destination rock festival, taking place May 22 and 23 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, the producers announced that single day, general admission tickets will be available as of Wednesday, March 31.

Amping up the ROTR experience this year are Mistress Juliya of Fuse TV and Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M.’s Nikki Sixx. The dark and alluring Mistress Juliya is serving as the hostess and Mistress of Ceremonies for the event, and Sixx will host his nationally syndicated Premiere Radio Networks show “Sixx Sense” from the festival, offering rock fans across the country an inside look at the fourth annual event. Gov’t Mule Headlines 3-Day Festival Mountain Jam – Levon Helm’s 70th Birthday Celebration, Alison Krauss & Union Station

Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule, The Allman Brothers Band, The Dead) has announced that the Mountain Jam Music Festival, will return to Hunter, NY for a sixth year, from Friday, June 4 – Sunday, June 6, 2010. Mountain Jam was recently named by Rolling Stone as one of the Top 8 Music Festivals in the country, on a list that includes Coachella and Bonnaroo.

Gov’t Mule will once again headline the festival on Friday and Saturday night. Phish 3D in Theaters April 30

Phish is excited to announce “Phish 3D” – filmed at Festival 8 in Indio, California and opening in theaters nationwide on Friday, April 30th for an exclusive one week run (a full list of theaters will be announced shortly for the April 30th opening). The band performed 8 sets over the course of the weekend, including a special Acoustic Set on Sunday afternoon. Keeping the tradition of past Halloween shows, they donned a musical costume on Halloween night, covering The Rolling Stones’ album Exile On Main Street.
